All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18

In 2 Corinthians 5:16-21, Paul presents reconciliation as the heart of the gospel. It's not merely a human aspiration. It's God’s initiative, accomplished through Christ and entrusted to the Church. We are called to be ambassadors of this reconciliation, embodying the grace and peace of Christ in a world fractured by conflict and division.

It wasn’t easy for Jesus, who also said it would not be easy for us!

This calling is especially poignant when we consider the deep and painful divisions in places like Palestine and Israel. I know I need to learn, listen, and pray. I am not going to be of any use whatsoever without first seeking understanding from those involved while also walking with Christ in his Word.

I commend to you Archbishop Justin Duckworth’s extended interview with interview with Dr Salim Y Munayer, a leading voice in reconciliation ministry among Israelis and Palestinians.
