Season of Creation

Various
Celebrate and appreciate creation with the worldwide Church
A special season where we celebrate God as Creator and acknowledge a common call to care for creation.

The Season of Creation is opportunity for Christians across the world to reflect on their relationship with creation – and for us, as Anglicans, to consider how God may be calling us further into the Anglican Communion’s fifth mark of mission:

“To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth.”

The season starts on 1 September, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, and ends on 4 October, the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi.

This year, the theme for the season is “Peace with Creation.”
