It was awesome to hang with a bunch of 35 intermediate aged kids and leaders from across the dio on Sunday afternoon to battle it out at laser tag in Tāhuna. What a great way for 11-13 year olds to connect and feel like they belong to our dio whānau!

We were super excited to have kids from 8 different parishes from across the region, from Atawhai to Mapua. Many of these parishes have small youth groups that cater for this Intermediate age so it was so good for these youth to see that they are part of a wider movement and that there are many their age choosing faith. All Saints, Victory, St Barnabas and Holy Trinity have all started new ventures this year specifically for this age group and are seeing fruits for nurturing these kids through a stage in life that can be vital for faith and belonging.

We are excited for what lies ahead for this cool group of kids and look forward to connecting again at Convergence Camp 10-12 Feb, 2023, Bethany Park in Kaiteriteri and at Bridge Valley Intermediate Camp 17-21 April, 2023, Bridge Valley.
