Community Ministries Advisor

20 hours
Voluntary
Do you have a heart for community ministries and a head for strategic planning?

We are looking for a passionate community ministries advisor to join our team at the Anglican Centre to help us plan for how we support parishes to deliver community ministry across Te Tau Ihu.

The Diocese of Nelson comprises 24 parishes across the Top of the South Island, Te Tau Ihu, from Kaikōura in the East to Greymouth in the West. We’re currently developing a church revitalisation programme and we are keen to develop some resources to ensure we are supporting that in the way we develop and deliver our community ministries.

We’re looking for a great communicator who has a good understanding of the community services sector, including needs, existing services and the role of the not-for-profit sector in community development. You will be able to spot opportunities for partnerships with organisations with shared outcomes, and also recognise the transformative role that churches can play in individuals, families and communities.

This is a fixed-term, part-time role, 20 hours per week until 22 December 2023, based at the Anglican Centre in Nelson, with some travel to meet key people across the diocese.

Interested?

Please email a CV with a brief cover letter outlining your reasons for applying for this role by 4:00pm on 18 August 2023.
